Bring your Dog
The Bedingfeld Arms is a B&B and pub near Swaffham in Norfolk that welcomes well behaved dogs.
Whether you are visiting for a drink, something to eat or planning to stay with us we give a warm and friendly welcome to you and your dogs.
Dog walks from the Bedingfeld Arms
Oxborough is a beautiful location for taking your dogs out for a walk. We like to start from our base at the Bedingfeld Arms and take the circular walk to Caldecote Farm exploring the lanes and countryside around Oxborough and taking in Oxburgh Hall. Do ask us for route instructions.
Alternatively, head from the Bedingfeld Arms towards Gooderstone stopping at the beautiful Gooderstone Water Gardens and then returning back to us for a well deserved drink (and we always have water bowls out for the dogs). This walk is approximately 3.5 miles.
There are many dog friendly walks around nearby Swaffham and Downham Market. And just a few miles from us is Thetford Forest, Britain’s largest lowland pine forest, which provides miles of trails (dogs must be kept under control).
The Norfolk Dog Show, a 2 day event in August each year, is held at the Norfolk Showground – just 30 miles away.
Staying with your dog
We have 5 cosy and compact ensuite bedrooms in our coach house.
We welcome small, well behaved dogs to stay with you in Coach House Rooms 2 & 4.
There is a supplement of £8/dog, per night. Please call us on 01366 328300 to arrange.
Restaurant and bar
We give a warm and friendly welcome to you and your dogs in our bar area. Four-legged visitors must be kept on leads and accompaied by a two-legged guest! We provide water bowls and even doggy-snacks behind the bar.
Please note we don’t allow dogs in the restaurant.
We know from our own experience that not all “dog friendly” destinations turn out to be quite as welcoming as you might expect. If you have any questions about bringing your dog to the Bedingfeld Arms do call us on 01366 328300 so we can put your mind at ease.
